0 5/5 drexel75 - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: iRobot Roomba 560 Vacuum Cleaner (Home) I used to have to vacuum everyday because of dog hair. Now this roomba does it for me and gets the carpets a whole lot cleaner than my other vacuum.EDIT: One year later and this baby keeps ticking. This is by far the best purchase i have made of my entire life. Im not kidding. I have a German Shedder that keeps the floor covered in hair and this thing takes care of it. Refurbished? only difference is i got a better deal. Ive dropped this thing numerous times and it keeps ticking. spilled stuff on it. you name it. Just needs maintenence to keep it clean - the brushes collect hair after a while. Im only on my second filter - they last a long time. Its about time to change the brushes but it still works like a charm.Summary: If you have a bad shedding animal then this item will change your life. no more vacuuming everyday. You do have to empty it everyday but thats easy to do. Buy this now if you got fur problems. It cleans the floor like you wouldnt believe. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , June 8, 2012

    like it a lot

0 4/5 Gary "GR" (Chicago, IL) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: iRobot Roomba 560 Vacuum Cleaner (Home) The pros:You can schedule it to clean and never touch it again except to empty the dirt.It does a good job of cleaning hardwood floors on my main level (kitchen, hall, living and dining rooms), moves around furniture nicely, and is reliable. The floor never looks dirty or dusty, and there is always a good deal of dirt in the unit to empty indicating that it works.Ihe Cons:It is a little loud, and more importantly it tends to climp up the leg of a coffee table and just shut off.I do recommend the unit, it saves me a great deal of effort every week. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , August 26, 2011

    Proven to work

I already owned two refurbished 560s, When I bought them last year I went with pre-own because I did not want to waste too much money if they turned out to be mere toys. Now I am sufficiently assured with their performance that I went ahead and bought two more. Why refurbished? Because:1. At the time that I bought them they were at about the same price point as the newer Roomba 630, but 560 has scheduler, and iRobot no longer sell new 560s.2. I figured if any of them start to fail, I could scavenge the parts since I already owned two.3. The two units I bought from a year ago were still going strong, and could run for two hours straight. So their reliability and usefulness were proven.4. Not sure about other sellers, but I bought from Otter Creek Trading: fast shipping with 3-month warranty by iRobot,Last year, one of the two 560s came with the new AeroVac upgrade. This year, both 560s came with AeroVac dust bin. Other than that,... 5/5 Philip K - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) The Roomba 500 series almost perfected.

I've got three Roomba 500s (a pair of 560s and a 570), and I love 'em. Rock solid reliable, easy to work on, and do a great job keeping my floors clean. These Roombas aren't toys, they actually clean the floors. In fact I've gone behind them with my Dyson just out of morbid curiosity and all I got was an empty bin. Sure, a Roomba can't pick up as much dirt as a regular vacuum in one pass, but that's why they're programmed to cover the same area of carpet multiple times. And in some ways the Roomba is better than my Dyson. Why?Areas of my house that get vacuumed every week without effort:* Under my bed.* Under my dresser.* In the back corners of my closet where a regular vacuum can't go.* Underneath my reclining theater seats.* Under my basement work bench and utility sink.* ...and on and on...The 600s series is even better, as they include the Aero Vac dust bin, and the upgraded cleaning head module from the 700... 5/5 Ryan Barnhart (Cincinnati, OH USA) - See all my reviews, September 24, 2012

    IRobots never die

This is my fourth IRobot and they never seem to die. The first three are still going strong after several years of use, without any problems or any repairs aside from a yearly new battery. Just make sure to leave these plugged into the wall, sitting in their docks, all the time to keep the battery from dying prematurely. It also helps to preserve the battery to fully run them at least once a week but it's not critical to do that.I empty the dirt canisters and clean the brushes after every use, which I don't find to be a problem at all. I have a Scuba also, the floor mopping robot, of the same brand, and it also is a workhorse. I've told all my friends about my IRobots, and several have gotten them and love them too. One of them said that after a while his Roomba started going in circles but I told him to turn it over and check out the brush and front wheel for anything caught on it and sure enough, he cleaned a long thread from the front drive wheel and it's good as... 5/5 AKN - See all my reviews, October 19, 2012

    iRobot 630 best purchase!

0 5/5 KHenery - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: iRobot Roomba 630 Vacuum Cleaning Robot for Pets (Misc.) I recently purchased the iRobot 630 for Pets and it has gone above and beyond my expectations. I have an 80 lb. Lab and a huge longhaired cat, so I was skeptical of how this vacuum would handle all of the animal hair and dirt they track inside. I have to say this vacuum does a better job than I do manually vacuuming with my Dyson! My roomba carefully cleans along the baseboard and legs of furniture with her brush to remove any and all traces of pet hair, dust, and debris. As well, it has no problem cleaning an assortment of rugs including a large cowhide. The iRobot uses a zig zag type manuever to ensure all 1200 sq ft is perfectly clean. Cleaning the brushes and emptying the disposal unit is a breeze, and it keeps its charge for about 2 hours. After it has finished its cleaning cycle, or is tired the Roomba carefully docks itself back onto the charger. I would definately reccomend this product! 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , September 21, 2012

0 5/5 Rita Mizell (houston texas) - See all my reviews This review is from: Irobot® Roomba® 585 Vacuum Cleaning Robot with AeroVac Technology (Kitchen) Forever, I have been sweeping and vacuuming my house every day because of two dogs and a cat, 2 parrots. I saw this at Costco and on a whim bought it. It was all ready to charge, and then push the button, and omg, it cleaned my whole house better than I ever have, behind chairs, under chairs, tables, corners, unbelievable!! I had to empty the dust bin twice, completely full of pet fur and dirt, and I was thinking the floors were already fairly clean. Don't even think about it, just get one I will run it every day and pretend the maid just left. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , February 3, 2013

We have a housekeeper once every two weeks and she does what I thought was a good job, we have a sunken living room

My husband has been wanting me to get a Roomba ever since they were first advertised years ago, and I resisted. We have a housekeeper once every two weeks and she does what I thought was a good job, we have a sunken living room, hardwood, tile, and Oriental carpets upstairs and loop carpeting in the man-cave. Too many problems, I said. Boy, was I wrong. I finally gave in when we saw this model at Sam's Club priced right for the grand experiment. The bottom line, I LOVE THIS THING. We ran Roomba AFTER the housekeeper left, and it picked up an appalling amount of dirt left behind. We have two cats that shed, and the Roomba picks up all the hair, lint, and crumbs while not getting tangled on carpet fringe. It has never fallen down the stairs. It has gotten hung up once under a piece of furniture, and once it shut down when it sucked up a cat collar from an air register under a sofa! Who knew? So its suction power is pretty awesome. We have not used the virtual wall, and have not run it... 5/5 Cooks4Fun "gyc1" (State College, PA USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Irobot® Roomba® 585 Vacuum Cleaning Robot with AeroVac Technology (Kitchen) My husband has been wanting me to get a Roomba ever since they were first advertised years ago, and I resisted. cleans effectively in a house with dogs and many birds

I have 2 dogs and seventeen birds. The bin is large enough to clean my bird room if used every three days, otherwise it would stop before the floor was finished. When it hits a power cord it switches from clean mode to escape from the cord mode until it gets away from it, so moving power cords to where they won't get in its way will result in a more thorough job. This model only comes with one spare filter and one virtual wall, which in a poor design decision was made to take c batteries. Since rechargeable c batteries are overpriced compared to AA, I simply fold a sheet of paper each around the two AA batteries to make them fit. This method worked fine in allowing me to use AA rechargeable batteries on the virtual wall instead of c batteries and isn't hard to do with just two batteries. The virtual wall turns itself off after 1.5 hours to conserve power so I haven't had to recharge them yet. The virtual wall has been working fine to restrict Roomba to one room at a... 4/5 Kurt Massat - See all my reviews This review is from: Irobot® Roomba® 585 Vacuum Cleaning Robot with AeroVac Technology (Kitchen) I have 2 dogs and seventeen birds. New Roomba vs. Old

If you are new to Roomba, you will wonder if it is worthwhile. The answer is clearly YES, since anything it cleans is that much less for you to clean. However, which is better, the old (and cheaper) Roomba, or the new models like the 530?First, the 530 comes with the charging/base station, and this is very useful. I have placed this in the entranceway which leads into the livingroom, the kitchen or the bedroom. Using the virtual walls (included), I block off rooms so that it can only do the entranceway + 1 other room. I simply press the "Clean" button, and it backs itself off the charging stand and then spends the next 2 hours cleaning, finally returning to the charging stand. Nice!Should you upgrade from an older model Roomba (I now use my old Roomba upstairs)? It depends on your situation. By-the-way, the old virtual walls do NOT work with the new Roomba.New Roomba:Fall down stairs? NeverClimb onto thick throw rugs... 4/5 D. C. It's Like a Beloved Pet Who MAKES EVERYTHING BETTER

Awesome. This new generation fixes all the problems of the previous. Much smarter, much bigger dust bin, much better in every way. Great that it self-docks when tired. Maintanence is a snap...really could not be easier/faster. There are some negatives - how could there not be? - but this thing has such a contagious personality that it starts feeling like your pet, and you're inclined to forgive, and even find the faults charming. You have to prep the room (cords up and out of the way, no papers or clutter on the floor, move small items out of the room and learn which objects present problems and get them out of the way). Performance varies on throw rugs (it's great on rug/carpet surfaces themselves, but Roomba can get caught up as it travels over edges of throw rugs that don't have much weight or cling). It's good at slowing down and banging objects gently, but less so on narrow vertical objects (e.g. piano legs), which it really clunks (not enough to damage, but it will... 5/5 New Yawkuh "New Yawkuh" (Queens, NY United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: iRobot 530 Roomba Vacuuming Robot, White (Kitchen) Awesome. A Great Product Made Even Better

With two dogs in the house we could not live without our Roomba. The 530 is a vast improvement from earlier models. It seems to pick up more dirt, the battery life is longer, the fast-charge is about 33% more rapid than its Discovery predecessors and it is generally more quiet. The new sensors that prevent the robot from "speed-bumping" into furniture are a very nice touch, but beware if the robot is in a tight area, it may appear sluggish -- the sensors are working to continually slow it down. It's a feature I like, but need to get used to.My only concern with this robot is the high cost of parts. The bot itself is cheaper than earlier models but the components most prone to breakage or wear-out are twice the cost so the lifetime operation costs may be higher. Replacement batteries are nearly $100. Earlier models were $50.ONE MONTH LATER ....This is a slight amend to my review above. Review From A Robotic Vacuum Junkie!!

Customer Video Review Length:: 5:52 Mins As some of you may know by now I love Robotic Vacuums so any chance I get to right a review on one I take it. Over the past 7 years I have owned probably over 12 robotic vacuums. Most being Irobot Roombas. I started with the Roomba Red and feel in love since. The Roomba Red performed very well for an early bird on the robotic vacuum market. I have owned almost all models of the Roomba all the way up to the current 670 I own. I also own a Neato XV11 and a LG Hombot. At one time I even had a Canadian Samsung Navibot and loved it until it wore out. Ok now onto the main star for today the Moneual MR6550 Rydis. Hope you had a chance to view my short video and if it helps anyone then that is great. I received the Rydis about a week ago and was very impressed with the packaging, not cheap, but very well designed and a lot of details were printed on exterior but who really cares about the outside it's what is side that counts. I quickly unboxed it and... 4/5 Michael Countryman "mike the camera man" (pelzer, sc) - See all my reviews, February 25, 2013

Adequate, but not great - 3.5 stars

The biggest problem I have with this unit is the lack of a floor-height sensor. We have about 2,000 square feet of hardwood downstairs, but all the bedrooms are carpeted and the bathrooms and laundry room are tiled. The 3/4" hardwood stands 1 1/2" higher than the tile or carpet, as there is 3/4" plywood foundation under it. The robot will drive off the wood and then promptly get stuck in whatever room it comes to. You MUST close doors if you use this on hardwoods, or you'll be searching for your stranded robot. The vacuum works fairly well, but it is not revolutionary by any means. My wife and I got it set up and put it to work and found that the vacuuming power of the unit is not that great, as we put sawdust on a rug and let the robot loose. The robot started by making random passes at what appeared to be 45-degree angles and didn't really come back to cover the areas it missed. It just ran off the edge of the rug, then onto the hardwood and down the hall. Flawed design--not ready for consumers

I've been running the Moneual for a few months now, and I've definitely concluded that it is way inferior to my latest-generation Roomba. In fact, it drives me nuts and sometimes barely works. It is constantly (constantly!) getting stuck on everything from heating vents in the floor to literally the wall itself--it starts climbing the molding and gets stuck half on the wall. It is also constantly getting clogged on the input slot. The pet hair/dirt/whatever gets in the slot but not all the way into the dust trap, so it clogs and either gives an error message or keeps going without picking much more up. I have to use a hand vacuum to clear the input slot at least twice on an average run.Over and over, the Roomba makes me happy and this Moneual irritates me. If you are going to buy a robotic floor vacuum, I urge you not to spend your money on this vacuum but choose a Roomba instead.Other thoughts: In one test I did, I ran each robot on different... 1/5 Unity Dienes (Hollis, NH) - See all my reviews, March 14, 2013
